Q

What Travel Protection Program does Royal Caribbean offer?

A

Make sure nothing gets in the way of your adventure with Royal Caribbean Travel Protection program benefits, including medical, baggage and Evacuation coverages to protect you during your trip. With the Royal Caribbean Travel Protection Program Cancellation Penalty Waiver (a non-insurance feature offered by Royal Caribbean), if your plans go awry and you cancel your cruise vacation (for specified reasons), Royal Caribbean will waive the non-refundable cancellation provision of your cruise ticket contract and pay you IN CASH the value of the unused portion of your prepaid cruise vacation. In addition, should you need to cancel for "any other reason" you may be eligible for credit toward a future cruise - up to 90% of the non-refundable, prepaid cruise vacation cost.

Because our liability for loss or damage is limited by the Cruise Ticket Contract, we recommend that all guests check their own insurance coverage or consider purchasing the Royal Caribbean Travel Protection Program.

What Are Our Ports of Call?

Costa Maya

One of Mexico's most popular cruise ports, Costa Maya Port welcomes travelers to endless seaside fun in the Yucatan Peninsula. There are plenty of beach bars where you can rent a cabana by the waters and grab a refreshing cocktail at the swim-up bar. Both artisan and luxury shopping areas are within walking distance too. Swimming with dolphins and feeding birds at the aviary are two of the top family-friendly activities here. If time permits, take a day tour with a local guide to experience Costa Maya's Chacchoben Ruins which showcases over 3,000 years of Maya history.

Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel, a mostly undeveloped Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, is a popular cruise ship port of call famed for its scuba diving. At Arrecifes de Cozumel National Park, there's diving spots around a section of the Mesoamerican Reef and the Museo Subacuático de Arte’s submerged sculptures. Chankanaab is an eco park surrounding a lagoon with underwater caverns, home to dolphins, manatees and sea turtles.  Cozumel is a dream destination for divers, with underwater marvels such as the Palancar and Columbia coral reefs. While much of the action on this small island off the Yucatán Peninsula takes place in or near the water—especially the round-the-clock parties at the many beach clubs—there are plenty of worthwhile experiences to have away from the coastline (and cruise ships.). At 29 miles long and 9 miles wide, it’s easy to see the entire island in one trip. The city center of San Miguel offers excellent dining, as well as activities like food tours and cooking classes to join. Farther afield, take a day trip to explore ancient Mayan ruins or beautiful Passion Island.
